Journalism & Mass Communication has immensely contributed to the development and empowerment of society and has emerged as an important area of academic interest. As an academic discipline, it has attracted youth worldwide to learn the art and craft of the profession. Keeping in mind its significance, the govt. of Bihar has established the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) and foresees SJMC as a potential Centre of Excellence. The School intends to work with national and international organizations to promote quality media education and research in the region.
